BGC Trust Medical College, established in 2002 in Chattogram, Bangladesh, has seen remarkable growth in both academic and healthcare excellence. With approval from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and affiliations to Chattagram Medical University and Chattagram University, the college has earned accreditation from the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC). Each year, 100 aspiring medical students join the institution to pursue their MBBS degrees. Recognition of BGC Trust Medical College

This international recognition allows graduates from BGCTMC to be acknowledged worldwide. Graduates are eligible for limited registration and can take the United States Medical License Examinations (USMLE), broadening their career prospects globally.

College Accommodation

Currently, all male students of BGC Trust Medical College are accommodated in hostels arranged by the college near the campus at Chandanaish. Female students reside in the dedicated “Mother Theresa Girl’s Hostel.” The college plans to build a permanent male hostel within or near the campus, with the goal of transforming the institution into a fully residential college. Until this is realized, the college provides transport facilities for students.

Classrooms at BGC Trust Medical College

The college features five large, fully air-conditioned classrooms equipped with closed-circuit televisions for lectures, ensuring a modern learning environment. Additionally, each department has its own tutorial rooms, and the Anatomy Dissection Hall is fully air-conditioned. Laboratories, such as those in the Pathology and Biochemistry departments, are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments to enhance hands-on learning experiences.

Audiovisual Equipment

All classes at BGC Trust Medical College are supported with overhead projectors, slide projectors, and microphone systems. In addition, multimedia projectors and computers are available, further enriching the teaching process with technology-driven learning tools.

Library at BGC Trust Medical College

The college boasts a modern, fully air-conditioned library on the first floor, featuring over 6,674 books, including the latest monographs, and subscribing to 16 international medical journals annually. The library provides seating for 100 students and 15 faculty members, with an attached Medical Education Unit (MEU). The MEU offers five computers for student and faculty use, as well as free access to fax, internet, and email facilities. The library also provides access to the MEDLINE database (1966 to present) via CD-ROM and online resources, and teaching materials on CD-ROM and videocassettes.
